Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern (May-Aug 2026)

As a Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern, you will identify and implement manufacturing process improvements to drive increases in manufacturing efficiency. Using data and direct observation, assess areas of inefficiency. Establish baseline performance, possible solutions, investment, timing, and business value. Work with manager to evaluate priorities. Develop implementation plans, drive, and track implementation. This is a hands-on roll adjacent to manufacturing working directly with process and test engineers and production staff.

In the role of Continuous Improvement Engineering Intern:

  • You will develop and implement manufacturing process technologies, methods, and techniques to assist and promote the building of reliable, high-quality assemblies at the lowest possible cost.

  • You will design production equipment and fixtures to aid in the assembly of products while improving operator safety/comfort, reducing labor, and improving quality.

  • You will collect, record, and present data.

  • You will investigate and diagnose product manufacturing issues and respond to internal requests for changes and improvements.

  • You will ensure projects are completed on time.

Education & Experience Required:

  • Declared Mechanical Engineering major (or similar design related program) with a minimum of 1 year completed course work.

  • GPA: 2.5 minimum (3.0+ preferred)
