SMT Technician – SMT Line AOI Operator (Night Shift)

The SMT Line Operator serves as a hands-on technical lead responsible for the day-to-day performance, reliability, and optimization of the SMT production line. This role is the first line of defense for line-down events, with a strong emphasis on mechanical troubleshooting, program optimization, and continuous improvement.

Hours: Monday – Thursday, 4PM – 3AM.

The skills you need to succeed:

  • You must pass a pre-employment vision exam (all candidates must be able to accurately distinguish colors used to identify electronic components, indicators, and markings).
  • You must pass a dexterity test among others at discretion of employer.
  • You must have a strong understanding of assembly equipment and electronics.
  • You must have the ability to work with minimal assistance.
  • You must have the ability to work and lead as a member of a team.
  • You must have the ability to work in environments experiencing routine and rapid change.
  • You must have excellent organization and decision-making skills.
  • You must have a high level of energy and enthusiasm.

Education & experience of a successful candidate:

  • 2-year college degree in electronics or related field or 4-6 years of experience in equivalent field
  • Certification(s) for electronic assembly equipment
  • Firsthand experience with lean manufacturing and /or six sigma desirable
