Manufacturing Technician – Selective Programmer/Technician/Operator (Night Shift)
This Manufacturing Technician III role has a specialized focus on selective programming, equipment operation, and advanced technical support within a high-mix manufacturing environment. The position serves as a technical lead for selective equipment, owning machine programming for new products, supporting line startups and changeovers, and acting as the first line of defense for mechanical and equipment-related downtime.
Hours: Monday – Thursday, 4PM – 3AM.
The skills you need to succeed:
- You must pass a pre-employment vision exam (all candidates must be able to accurately distinguish colors used to identify electronic components, indicators, and markings).
- You must pass a dexterity test among others at discretion of employer.
- You must have an excellent understanding of manufacturing, strong understanding of electronics.
- You must have the ability to read schematics.
- You must have the ability to work self-directed.
- You must be a team player.
- You must thrive in an environment experiencing routine and rapid change.
- You must have excellent organization and decision-making skills.
- You must have a high level of energy and enthusiasm.
- You must have the ability to continuously find and deliver productivity.
Education and experience of a successful candidate:
- 2-year college degree in electronics or related field plus a minimum of 4 years direct experience, or 8+ years of direct experience in equivalent role.
- Certification(s) for electronic assembly equipment
- Trained in implementing lean manufacturing practices and /or trained in Six Sigma.
