Learning and Development Manager

The Learning and Development Manager is responsible for the development of Enercon’s training strategy; identifying organizational training needs; designing, planning, and implementing cohesive training programs, policies, and procedures to enable employees to advance their skills and knowledge, resulting in Enercon achieving their business goals.  The goal will be to help Enercon succeed through continual investment, training and developing our biggest asset, our people.

Functions & Responsibilities

In the role of the Training and Learning Development Manager:

  • You will be responsible for gaining a deep understanding of Enercon’s current business practices and training platforms.
  • Using your expertise, you will be responsible for leading the development of cohesive organizational training strategy, partnering with the senior leadership team.
  • You will be responsible for suggesting enhancements and modifications to improve engagement, learning, and retention of employees to meet the needs of the organization.
  • You will be responsible in deploying different kinds of learning methods companywide such as coaching, job-shadowing, and online training.
  • You will be responsible for improving the productivity of the organization’s employees by re-skilling and upskilling where needed.
  • You will be responsible for supervising and supporting where needed the day-to-day activities of Training Coordinators.
  • You will be responsible in conducting and/or facilitating the required and recommended training modules.
  • You will be responsible in collaborating with vendors and third-party training providers to schedule employee registration for/and participation in outside/inhouse training programs.
  • You will be responsible in Identifying opportunities for Individual Development Programs and the training that addresses the needs and expectations of our company and monitoring the success of its programs.
  • You will be responsible in collaborating with managers to develop their team members through career pathing.
  • You will be responsible in ensuring that training trends/materials and methods are current, accurate and effective.
  • You will be responsible in measuring the ROI of training programs implemented.
  • You will be responsible in developing a Learning Need Analysis (LNA) for future state of the Training Department.
  • You will be responsible in ensuring that training milestones and goals are met while adhering to approved budget.
  • You will be responsible in performing other related duties as assigned.

  • You will possess a thorough understanding of Training processes, MS Office, and Learning Management Systems (LMS).

  • You will possess and be proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

Educational Requirements

Education and experience of a successful candidate:

  • 5+ years in the role of a Learning and Development Manager in a manufacturing or electronics assembly environment or related experience with a proven track record of successful training development and management.
  • Specifically, proven success of the development and execution of a holistic company training strategy.
  • 4-year college degree in Education, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
  • Formal Lean and/or Six Sigma training and experience desired.
